Japan willing to support municipal projects

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong yesterday received envoy of the Japanese Embassy and delegates from Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan on the occasion of the guests visit the city to strengthen cooperation relations between Ho Chi Minh City and Japan.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong yesterday received envoy of the Japanese Embassy and delegates from Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan on the occasion of the guests visit the city to strengthen cooperation relations between Ho Chi Minh City and Japan.

At the receipt, Mr. Katsuro Nagai desired chairman Phong will continue to strengthening all efforts to develop the city, actively support and create favorable conditions for Japanese enterprises and investors to the city.

Besides, Japanese government will continue to supporting the city’s projects, added Mr. Katsuro.

Chairman Phong highly appreciated supports of Japanese government as well as people in past years; especially in infrastructure sector.

On the same day, Chairman Phong also had a warm receipt with Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Ng Teck Hean who came to say bid farewell after ending his working term in Vietnam.

Mr. Phong expressed his delight at the progress of two countries’ cooperative relations in all fields through outstanding contributions of the ambassador during his working term.

Mr. Ng Teck Hean sent thanks to the city’s leaders and people for their good emotions in his working term. He desired the relation between Vietnam and Singapore was elevated to Strategic Partnership in September, 2013.
