Illegal Chinese-made products seized

The Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department has seized a big haul of 13,786 Chinese-made products worth more than VND 800 million (US$40,000) that were without any documentation or proof of origin.

The Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department has seized a big haul of 13,786 Chinese-made products worth more than VND 800 million (US$40,000) that were without any documentation or proof of origin.

The seized items include office supplies, electric appliances, telephones, wine and beer, children’s toys and aromatic spices.

The department also raided 16 shops which stocked illegal goods, with no price tags and seized 1,533 safety helmets without CR guarantee stamps. The violators have been penalized for a total of VND1 billion (US$50,000).
