Over the past years, many heritage urban areas in Central Vietnam, including Hoi An, Gia Hoi, and Bao Vinh, alongside ancient villages like Phuoc Tich and Loc Yen, retain their iconic weathered exteriors, but their wooden interiors are rotting and near collapse. Though severely degraded and unusable, their dismantling and restoration face major hurdles.
