HCMC children visit Navy soldiers

On May 23, 180 teenagers departed from District 5 in Ho Chi Minh City to visit the DK1 Battalion under Navy High Command Zone B in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.


The teenagers are children of soldiers at the Observation Platform DK1 and members of the Union of Vietnamese Children in District 5.

This visit includes the highest number of children to visit Battalion DK1 so far. They will visit warships and the DK1 Battalion on their three day visit.

The children will have a chance to talk with officers and soldiers of Observation Platform DK1 about their work in protecting the country’s sovereignty.

While there, they will join in several games and activities and participate in a writing contest on their thoughts and feelings about Vietnam’s Islands as well as naval soldiers who are protecting the Island sovereignty of the country.
