On the occasion, the ‘Itsala Medals’ of the Government of Laos were conferred to leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and Ministry of Defense.
The honorary title recognizes their great contributions in building bilateral friendship and cooperation between the two countries, and for training Lao army officers during the period 2005-2010.
Mutual assistance and cooperation in national defense and security strengthen the potential of both nations. Vietnam Party, State, people, and police forces always recognize and acknowledge the solidarity and support of Laos Party, State, people, and police forces, said senior lieutenant general Tran Dai Quang.
Thongbanh Sengaphone, Lao Minister of Public Security, thanked the warm greetings of the Vietnam Party, State, people, and police forces on his visit to Vietnam to attend celebrations of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Year and the 67th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Police.
