The movie, starring Hyun Bin and Yoo Hae-jin, won the "Action!" award at FIFF, which ran July 13 to Aug. 2 in Montreal, according to CJ E&M. FIFF is a genre-oriented film contest launched in 1996 that is popular among hardcore film fans and distributors largely from North America.
"Confidential Assignment" tells the story of two cops, one from South Korea and the other from North Korea, teaming up for a joint confidential assignment to hunt down a North Korean criminal that sneaked into the South.
Directed by Kim Sung-hoon, "Confidential Assignment" was a box office success in South Korea, drawing in more than 7 million moviegoers since being released in January source from the Yonhap.
