The four-day conference is titled, “Ensuring project development and financial opportunities, and investment in Vietnam’s energy industry.”

World and Vietnam Report (newspaper under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs), the Asia Business Forum and the Europe Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam organized the conference.

Representatives from departments, ministries and trans-national groups together with domestic and foreign experts in energy field were set to debate key issues at the conference.

It is forecast that between now and 2020, the Vietnamese economy will continue growing rapidly and that the population will reach 100 million people.

To meet the ever-increasing demand for energy, the Vietnamese electrical industry must expand over 12 percent per year.
