However, when they went outside the security zone, the tourists took off their coats, displaying their T-shirts with an invalid “nine dash line” map.
After detecting the incident, the police asked these Chinese tourists to remove the pictured T-shirts, he added.
According to a representative of Aladin Tourism Trading Co., Ltd, the tourist delegation went from Xi'an (China) and arrived at Cam Ranh at 8:30 pm on May 13. The group included 40 people and initial identification showed 14 people seemingly wearing "cow tongue shaped" map shirts.
"The delegation was very scared when they were asked about the shirts with the invalid map. They stated that some of them bought these T-shirts from a store in China before traveling to Cam Ranh.
