AusAID, World Bank to assist Vietnam’s socio-economic development

The World Bank has recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) for five years, to support a long-term socio-economic development plan for Vietnam.

According to the agreement, AusAID will provide World Bank with 58 million Australian dollars towards a World Bank consultancy programme that will help Vietnam build a favourable environment to improve economic competiveness, increase environment sustainability, and broaden access to economic and social opportunities.
