ASEAN symphony orchestra salutes 17th ASEAN Summit

Around 100 musicians from ten ASEAN member countries will join the first-ever ASEAN symphony orchestra under the baton of  Japanese conductor Yoshikazu Fukumura to mark the forthcoming 17th ASEAN Summit in Hanoi and Vietnam's role as ASEAN Chair in 2010.

Around 100 musicians from ten ASEAN member countries will join the first-ever ASEAN symphony orchestra under the baton of  Japanese conductor Yoshikazu Fukumura to mark the forthcoming 17th ASEAN Summit in Hanoi and Vietnam's role as ASEAN Chair in 2010.

Nearly all artists are local musicians of the symphony orchestras of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, National Music Institute and Hue Music Institute.

There also about 16 musicians from Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.

The program will take place at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music on October 26, Hanoi Opera House on October 28 and the National Convention Center in the capital on October 29.
