Twelve Vietnamese football squads experienced a tough Sunday in the third round of the Anpha Petro Cup. Despite all tough efforts, some teams had to lose their points on the ranking.
The first loser was Thanh Nghia Thach Bich (TN.TB) Quang Ngai (TQN) in their match against Military Zone 5 (MZ5) on the Military Zone 5 Ground.
While TQN made an opening score at the 23rd minute thanks to striker Ngoc Hoa, MZ5 soon evened the score at the 60th minute thanks to Captain Trung Thanh.
At the 85th minute, due to a serious mistake of MZ5’s foreign striker Ochai, MZ5’s Bao Trung doubled MZ5’s score and helped them gain a final victory.
The viewers on the Military Zone 4 appreciated the efforts of the Military Zone 4 (MZ4) in gaining a victory over Miltary Zone 7 (MZ7).
MZ4 did an excellent performance on Sunday and soon pocketed two scores which were made by local striker Thanh Van at the 28th minute and foreign striker Rodonfo at the 59th minute.
Despite gaining a score at the 83rd minute thanks to Thanh Xuan, MZ7 could not save their three points from the redoubtable opponent, MZ4. MZ4 finished the game at 2-1.
The Hancofood Can Tho (HTC) boosted its standing to the first position with 7 points after their landslide 3-1 victory over Giay Thanh Cong (GTC) Tay Ninh (GTN).
HTC foreign striker Das Silva deserved credit for scoring two goals at the 10th minute and at the 61st minute, and for helping his teammate Hoang Hai Duong gain a score at the 23rd minute.
The GTC gained only one score at the last minute thanks to their foreign striker Brandao.
The last three matches of the third round were all draws.
