Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Sai Gon Giai Phong reporter Pham Truong said that the fund organizer found out more about each students’ family and studying condition who will receive the scholarship. Only students who come from poverty-line families but try their best in learning are eligible for the scholarship.
This year, 50 annual scholarships will be granted to poor medicine students each worth VND6 million ($262.9). Moreover, Dr. Ta Trung Quoc’s wife will provide 60 all-course scholarships each worth VND6 million; 20 other scholarships funded by Sai Gon Construction Company each worth VND6 million.
Especially, Ngoc Minh Clinic will give 10 full scholarships each worth VND25 million and one supporting scholarship worth VND10 million.
The scholarship-giving ceremony will be organized on May 10 in Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper’s hall.
The scholarship has helped hundreds of needy medical students to complete their studies.
