Addressing a seminar on women and cultural heritage on Sunday (February 21) in the central city of Hue, Ms. Doan urged social scientists to study new issues relating to Vietnamese women that will affirm and honor their role in national development.

This would inspire and set an example to follow for younger generations, she said.

The seminar organized by the Thua Thien Hue Historical Society and Vietnam Women’s Museum in Hue.

Earlier, Vice President Doan, along with local leaders, offered incense and flowers at the Temple of Princess Huyen Tran to commemorate the latter’s contributions to nation building.

Ms. Doan also attended a festival to pray for peace and happiness in the country.

Also on Sunday, the Vice President visited the Hue Central Hospital to congratulate doctors and the hospital on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of Vietnam Doctor’s Day (Feb.27).

Hospitals need to enhance treatment quality by applying hi-tech equipment and skills and improve the quality of human resources through education, she said.
