Vietnamese President pays last respects to late South African Leader

President Truong Tan Sang led a delegation to represent the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to lay a wreath at the South African Embassy on December 10

to pay last respects to the late former South African President Nelson Mandela, who passed away at age 95 after a prolonged illness.

At the ceremony, President Truong Tan Sang said that the Communist Party, State and people of Vietnam deeply mourn the passing away of Nelson Mandela, who was not only an outstanding leader of South Africa but also an outstanding leader of countries oppressed around the world.

Nelson Mandela contributed his life to freedom, justice and peace. He will be considered as a symbol of peace and justice by all humanity.
