The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with Vietnam Red Cross, Vietnam Women’s Union and Oxfam have officially kicked off a four-year project to enhance disaster risk management in the country.

The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and the UN Development Programme (UNDP) will co-fund the project by US$5 million.
After the success of the first phase of the project, the program will focus on helping around 6,000 Communes that are highly vulnerable to Climate Change and Natural Disasters.
Besides this, the Southern representative of Vietnam Red Cross has cooperated with RAID, the insecticide brand by SC Johnson, to implement a program called ‘exterminating dengue fever and protecting your family’ in Thu Duc District in Ho Chi Minh City.
The program will be also organized in Binh Duong and Vinh Long Provinces and in Can Tho City.
