Deputy Chairman of Hung Yen People’s Committee Bui The Cu said that the authority required 13 polluters to address illegal discharges in a writing document. These polluters must carry out measures to solve the matter before July 31.
As per the test results carried out by the provincial Department of Environment and Natural Resource and the environment police unit, discharge samples taken from these company polluters exceeded the standard. Especially, Hoang Hop Company in My Hao District which had been fined many times but it still violated the law.
There should be a close coordination between related agencies to install equipment to control waste discharges and pollutants to reduce as much as possible pollutants into rivers.
Moreover, polluters are required to install standard waste treatment system as well as the operation of the system must be under observation.
People’s Committee ordered the Department of Environment and Natural Development to liaise with related agencies and local administrations in districts to tighten control over these violating companies.
They were assigned to report violations to high authority who will suspend the operation of these companies intentionally violate the regulations.
On the other hand, responsible agencies will instruct companies which perfected the waste treatment system so that they are not in “black list” any more.
