Embedded software programs, enterprise management solutions and e-commerce portal are excellent products which have won the Sao Khue 2006 Awards.
Like last year, there is only one winner for the category of IT policy planning and implementing, and that is late brigadier Nguyen Dinh Ngoc, former director of the Department of Science and Telematics (under the Ministry of Public Security).
In addition, the Bac Ninh Province People’s Committee and the Sai Gon Hi-Tech Park won prestigious awards thanks to their outstanding contributions to the field.
The award of ICT development went to the PC World Magazine and the Digital Life TV Show of the Viet Nam television. The award for enterprises applying the ERP solution was granted to the Bien Hoa Confectionery Corporation (BIBICA), Unilever, and Southern Bay (under the Ministry of Defense).
The ERP solution on enterprise management is rapidly being developed in Viet Nam today, but just a few of businesses succeeded in producing expected outcomes.
“Many companies still misunderstand ERP, thinking it is a tool for improving their company’s efficiency only. In my opinion, it’s totally wrong. The ERP solution helps the business effectively collect information in order to have not only appropriate decisions and development policies, but development direction for the company’s future also. This also helps improve businesses’ competitive edge,” said Mr. Nguyen Anh Nguyen, Manger of Planning and IT of Unilever Viet Nam, one of the enterprises applying the ERP effectively.
The “Export Breakthrough” award was presented to Paragon Solution Viet Nam (PSV). The PSV and the FPT Software products were also granted the “Quality Management Process” award. PYTHIS Company, GHP Far East and Da Nang Software Park won the valuable award for outstanding software company in revenue growth. FPT Aptech Training Center was honored with the award for excellent unit of IT Education.
Three software products were graded five stars including the software embedded in smart card of MK Technology Group's Smart Card, the IRP (Intelligent Resource Planning) solution of AZ Software Processing Company's ERP Solution and the chodientu.com e-commerce portal of the Viet A Software Joint Stock Company's E-market Solution.
The IRP solution of the AZ Software Processing Company's ERP Solution can compete with any foreign solution. While smart card is a hi-tech product which is wholly imported from abroad, the software embedded in the smart card of the MK Technology Group's Smart Card is significant, said the judge panel in the final.
The 18 four-star grading software products are in the fields of government’s administration, enterprise management, taxation, customs, banking and accounting software programs.
