Sai Gon- Cho Lon- Gia Dinh Revolutionary Tradition Monument inaugurated

The event aims at marking the 20th anniversary of Traditional Day of Cu Chi Tunnel Museum (on December 19, 1995) and receiving the Labor Hero title.
Attending the event were former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, Politburo member Le Thanh Hai and many leaders of the city.
The Sai Gon- Cho Lon- Gia dinh Revolutionary Tradition Monument is built to honor martyrs and people who have sacrificed themselves for the country and made outstanding contribution to this land during Vietnam's two resistance wars against the France and the US, said Chairman of the city People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong.
The project was kicked off in 2010 and located in the Cu Chi Tunnel Historical Museum that was once home and headquarters to many revolutionary soldiers.
The construction covering on an area of 13.5 hectares includes a temple, a memorial stele, park. On the occasion, the delegation also offered flowers to martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and founders of Sai Gon-Cho Lon - Gia Dinh at Ben Duoc Monument Temple for the Martyrs.
