Prices for fresh natural rubber latex have raised from VND 36 million to VND 42 million a ton in provinces of Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong and Tay Ninh from since October, an increase of 80 percent compared to the same period last year.

Rubber processing enterprises of the southeastern region said that farmers have earned profit with the current price after long- lasting low rubber latex prices.
The prices have started rising as the four biggest rubber export countries as Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia reduced production output; and man- made mineral oil prices increased.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, total export turnover of the fresh natural rubber of Vietnam reached US$ 1.66 billion.
And, total export turnover of Vietnam from rubber products such as tire, accessories and conveyor belt reached US$ 1.5 billion and products from rubber tree wood earned US$ 1.2 billion.
