HA NOI (VNS) — President Truong Tan Sang yesterday appointed 22 diplomats to take up positions as overseas Vietnamese ambassadors.
Speaking at the appointment ceremony in Ha Noi, the President took the opportunity to praise the contributions made by the diplomatic corp to the nation's diplomatic achievements.
Sang also said he was confident the new ambassadors would succeed in their new positions.
Diplomats attending the ceremony thanked the President, Party and State senior leaders for prioritising the diplomatic sector, and promised to fulfill their new responsibilities.
