From July 25 to now, the commune has 275 cow of 60 households in four villages were infected with the disease.
Last time, the epidemic was widely spreading because of prolonged rainy season while a large amount of cow in the commune yet farmers’ low awareness. Worse, the disease has showed a more complicated development lately.
The local authority banned all sales, transportation of ill cattle and products in and out the commune as well as implemented the fight against it.
On the same day, the Department of Animal Health and Vets in the central province of Quang Ngai said that 72 cattle of 18 households in three villages in Tinh Hiep Commune in Son Tinh District were found to be infected with the disease from July 27 to August 3.
All preventative measures were adopted to curb the spread including spraying disinfectants, isolating sick animal, vaccinating van tighten the slaughtering, transporting cattle. Responsible agencies issued instruction of disease prevention to breeders.
