The 6th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers’ Association was held at My Dinh National Convention Center in Hanoi on July 1.
1,180 representatives of over 12 million farmers throughout the country gathered today in the three day event to discuss chances and challenges that Vietnamese farmers have to deal with in 5 coming years and elect new members of the Central Executive Committee of the association in the next term.
This year’s event themed “Solidarity, renovation, integration and sustainable development” aims to evaluate the implementation and outcome of the 5th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers’ Association in the 2008-2013 term.
