Moon, Trump to Hold Summit in Seoul Next Month

President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Donald Trump will hold a bilateral summit in Seoul on Nov. 7, the White House announced on Monday.

Precise details of Trump's itinerary have not been released yet.

Trump will visit Tokyo, Japan, where he starts his Asia tour on Nov. 5, before coming to Seoul.


Cheong Wa Dae spokesman Park Soo-hyun said in a statement, "The two leaders will have a summit, hold a joint conference and attend a dinner party, and the U.S. president will deliver a speech at the National Assembly."

The White House confirmed that Trump will address the South Korean parliament, "where he will celebrate the enduring alliance and friendship between the United States and [South Korea], and call on the international community to join together in maximizing pressure on North Korea."
