Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang together with leaders of Party, State, representatives of ministries, departments and central agencies offered flowers and incenses and paid tribute to the Hung Kings and the legendary ancestors of the nation at Kinh Thien Palace in Hanoi’s Thang Long Imperial Citadel on February 16.

There was a palanquin procession attracting over 400 people, including Dragon dancing artisans from Trieu Khuc, Yen Hoa, So Thuong, Canh villages, Tan Trieu Commune, Thanh Thi District who performed dragon dances honoring kings, generals and heroes and wishing for national peace and prosperity.
Earlier, archaeologists found a royal wooden seal at the Tran Dynasty's cultural layer in an excavation at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel relic site. The antique was considered a precious treasure for study.
The annual incense-offering ceremony is one of the rituals paying tribute to predecessors and honoring traditional values of the Thang Long-Hanoi.
