Some prominent winners are the ‘Smart Life Buoy’ by a group of 5th-grade pupils from Kiet Son Primary School (located in Tan Son District of the northern province of Phu Tho), which can be automatically controlled and very effective in saving people from drowning accidents; the ‘Flood and Mudslide Warning System’ by a group of 10th-grade students from Ly Tu Trong High School (located in the northern province of Ninh Binh); the ‘Automatic Counting System for Cutting Times’ by Duong Phuoc Vinh from Changshin Ltd. Co. (located in the southern province of Dong Nai), which can save $5.6 million per year for his company; the ‘Electronic Product to Support Training of Sexual Abuse Prevention for Primary School Pupils’ by a group from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Pedagogy.
Most of the winning projects have been used in real life and are highly appreciated thanks to their usefulness and effectiveness economically and socially.
On the same day, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held the exhibition for the national ‘Innovative Youth 2018’ at the square of Ta Quang Buu Library in the Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
The exhibition attracted the participation of 20 local members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in provinces and cities, along with innovative technological businesses, displaying their products in 43 booths.
The most remarkable are the areas to demonstrate and introduce innovative models, projects, solutions, and ideas of children; the STEM Space for experiencing creative science.
In the exhibition, there were also mini contests on drawing, science, innovation for children and places for traditional games and arts.
