The agreement aims to exchange organs of living donor and brain-dead donors offering more opportunities for patients who await transplantation.
Director of Children Hospital No.2 Trinh Huu Tung said for 14 years, the hospital has performed 16 kidney transplants and 12 liver transplants. Living donors are relatives of patients.

Being a hospital which carry out tens of transplants annually, Director of Cho Ray Hospital Nguyen Truong Son said the hospital has cooperated with organ transplant associations in the world and in Australia.
The National Coordination Center for Organ Transplantation said the country has 15 infirmaries that are allowed to perform transplantation but not many people agree to donate their organ.
