A press conference January 29 in the capital announced details of the upcoming event and said there would be 114 stalls at the festival’s venue, the Vietnam Exhibition & Fair Center.

This year, the occasion is titled “Celebration of the country’s renovation, the Party’s 80 springs, and 1,000 years of Hanoi.”

The festival will feature various activities and introduce newspapers and magazines for the coming springtime, as well as radio and TV programs.

In addition, the organization board will hand out awards for the best looking stalls and most impressive publications.

Sai Gon Giai Phong will have a stall in the Ho Chi Minh City press area.

The last spring press conference was held in 2005, with organizers striving to host the event every five years.
