The sites awarded were Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple in Hoan Kiem District, Hai Ba Trung Temple in Me Linh District, Hat Mon Temple in Phuc Tho District, Phu Dong Temple in Gia Lam District, and Tay Dang Temple in Ba Vi District.

Vietnam currently has a total of 48 unique national relics with the largest concentration located in Hanoi.

Hanoi’s Phu Tho District organized a buffalo-fighting festival on February 22. Thousands of people attended despite weather conditions.

Thirty-two buffalo owners with buffalo between the ages of eight and 15 weighing at least 550 kilograms participated in the event.  The participants were from Hai Phong City, Vinh Phuc and Tuyen Quang provinces. The event will end on February 23.
