A Fishing Logistics Services Center will be built in the central province of Quang Ngai, announced Vien Duong Construction and Trade Company on June 5.
The VND1 trillion (US$ 47 million) project on fishing logistics services in an area of 25 hectares at Tinh Ky commune, Quang Ngai Province’s Son Tinh District includes two phases.
For the first phase, it will cost VND400 billion for building a seafood processing plant with an annual capacity of 5,000 tons per year, an ice processing plant with a capacity of 15,000 ice blocks daily, a ship building plant with capacity of 250 vessels a year and some fuel supply system with 7.5 tons a day and food stores.
The project aims to help Quang Ngai fishermen to have more opportunities to catch offshore, affirming the country’s sovereignty. After being put into operation, the Center will significantly contribute to consumption and processing of seafood for thousands of ships in Tinh Ky and neighboring coastal areas such as Tu Nghia and Ly Son.
