Presently, consultancy agencies are working on feasibility report and environmental impact assessment to submit to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
To speed up the airport project, the Minister asked related agencies to liaise with the Committee for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises upon the plans of capital mobilization to submit the government.
As per schedule, the Ministry will submit the project’s feasibility study to the government for the National Assembly’s approval. After the government has given the green light to the project, investors will conduct biding, designing, capital mobilizing activities for the implementation of the project, Minister The said.
Regarding to the project’s ground clearance, Mr. The lauded the work progress hoping that a part of expense will be disbursed for the site clearance work in 2019.
On the same day, the Ministry announced the government has approved an investment of VND900 billion ($38.7 million) for construction of Quan Lo- Phung Hiep path through Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau in the Mekong delta has been approved. This path is one of 14 most pivotal traffic project approved by the National Assembly by giving state budget of VND15 trillion for the period 2016 - 2020.
The work is scheduled to start in late September, 2019 and open to traffic in the fourth quarter of 2020.
