City leaders greet media on Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

Le Hoang Quan, chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, visited Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper office on June 19 and congratulated the staff on occasion of the 87th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21). Le Thanh Hai, secretary of the HCMC Party Committee led a delegation of National Assembly members to visit and congratulate staff at Vietnam News Agency in Hanoi on June 19.

Le Thanh Hai, secretary of the HCMC Party Committee led a delegation of National Assembly members to visit and congratulate staff at Vietnam News Agency in Hanoi on June 19.

The chairman affirmed the important role of Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper (SGGP) and other press agencies in the growth and development of the city.

He pointed out that as a party newspaper, SGGP should focus more on propaganda activities and social causes, highlighting good examples of anti-corruption acts and social evils.

On the same day, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, vice-secretary of the HCMC Party Committee visited the offices of Vietnam News Agency, People’s Newspaper, Vietnam Television, and HCMC Television.

On the same day, Nguyen Van Dua, deputy standing secretary of the HCMC Party Committee, congratulated reporters and editors of People's Army Newspaper, Voice of HCMC People and HCMC Party Committee’s online newspaper.
