The Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City is now accepting applications for 2012-13 Direct Aid Program (DAP) projects in southern Vietnam.
DAP is a small aid program funded by the Australian Government and disbursed by the Australian Consulate-General. The goal of the DAP is to address humanitarian hardship and assist low income communities through funding small-scale development projects.
Last financial year, the Australian Government provided DAP funding of approximately VND3.1 billion (AUD145,000) to 18 projects in southern Vietnam. This funding provided assistance across a range of areas, including community health, education and small-scale infrastructure projects.
The deadline for applications is on October 15.
DAP guidelines and advice on how to submit an application can be found on the Australian Consulate-General website at www.hcmc.vietnam.embassy.gov.au
