Head of the province Department of Food Safety Nguyen Van Dang yesterday said that the inter-inspection team has detected 17 illegal liquor manufacturers in the province.
Following many poisoning cases and death from drinking wine in the province, from April 18 to May 5 inter-department inspection teams had paid visits to liquor manufacturers in seven towns and districts in Gia Lai Province.
Inspectors decided to suspend them from making alcohol. These manufacturers are under observation of local administrations and they can re-open when they follow the regulations.
