The Quang Ngai International General Hospital Joint Stock Company started June 26 to construct an affiliate of Cho Ray hospital at a cost of VND880 billion (US$46.4 million) in the central province of Quang Ngai.

The Cho Ray-Quang Ngai International General Hospital covers an area of five hectares on the old foundation of Quang Ngai General Hospital in Quang Ngai City.
The hospital will have two buildings with 500 beds, and be equipped with state-of-the-art European technology.
It is set to be completed in the next two years.
Addressing the ground-breaking ceremony, Nguyen Xuan Hue, chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee said, the clinic will provide quality treatment to residents in not only Quang Ngai but also regional provinces.
It will also reduce patient overload in hospitals in the province and Ho Chi Minh City-based Cho Ray Hospital as well, he added.
On the occasion of the event, the investor presented VND300 million to the provincial fund for Agent Orange/Dioxin victims, and the fund to support poor children.
