The Standing Board of the Party Committee in Hai Phong City announced disciplinary action against 50 officials and 25 organisations involved in the illegal land acquisition case earlier this year in Vinh Quang Commune of Tien Lang District.
As per the Prime Minister’s directive to take action against the unlawful land acquisition of local resident Doan Van Vuon, the board announced disciplinary action against concerned officials on Thursday.
By March 25, the Standing Board of the Party Committee had decided to take disciplinary action against 50 officials, Party members, civil servants and 25 organisations.
Action will be taken against 16 organisations and 17 individuals in Tien Lang District and nine organisations and 33 individuals in Hai Phong City.
Meanwhile, the chairman and deputy chairman of Tien Lang District have already been dismissed from their posts.
The District Party Committee Secretary; Chief of the Tien Lang Police Department; and Commander of the District’s Military Command, have been issued strict warnings.
The Standing Board of the Party Committee in Hai Phong City also passed a resolution to reprimand the City Party Committee’s Civil Affairs Board along with two leaders from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
