Receiving bribe money, Tien Phong journalist arrested

The Ministry of Public Security’s investigation agency caught Ha Phan (Phan Ha Binh), deputy assistant managing editor of Tien Phong Newspaper while he was receiving VND220 million (US$11,000) from a subsidiary of Tan Tao Group on October 13.

The same day, authorized officials examined Ha Phan’s office in Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, also representative office of the Tien Phong Newspaper in the city.

Journalist Ha Phan, 42, specializes in investigation sector of the Tien Phong Newspaper and became deputy assistant managing chief of the newspaper in early October.
