At its 10 establishment anniversary on April 27, Phu Nhuan jewelry maker (PNJ) officially announced to allocate VND5 billion (US$ 232,018) for charity activities during the year.
Of the amount, VND2 billion (US$ 92,807) will be sent to program PNJ’s Sweet Home; VND1 billion will be for taking care of the poor; over VND300 million will be used for scholarships and the remaining amount will be for other charity activities.
After 10 year establishment, the company has contributed VND25 billion on projects to improve people’s living condition. At the event, a representative of the municipal Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients has given certificate of merit to PNJ’s leaders, recognizing the company’s contribution to the association for 10 years.
On the occasion, PJN launched the program “ Pink brick” to build houses for the poor in the country. It is planed to build 50 houses each worth VND40 million (US$ 1,856)
