Photographer gifts pictures of Truong Sa Island to schools

Photographer Tran Minh Ngoc of the Vietnam News Agency presented large photographs of Truong Sa Island to six schools in Nha Trang City of Khanh Hoa Province.

These photographs were from among the 80 displayed at the exhibition ‘Beloved Island’ on April 26, to commemorate Liberation Day of  Spratly Island in Khanh Hoa Province.

On the same day, the Propaganda Department of Communist Party of Khanh Hoa Province and a number of departments and school in the province launched a contest themed ‘Understanding the Sea Islands of Vietnam’.

The contest is in two parts, an oral and written examination, from May 7 until November 20. The main content of the contest focuses on understanding the role and strategic position of the islands on the East Sea.  The contest also introduces many historical evidence of Vietnam’s sovereignty over Paracel and Spratly Islands.
