Lotteria Vietnam fined VND146 mil for failing to meet food safety regulations

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health and the Bureau of Food Safety South March 18 issued a fine of VND146 million (US$6,549) Korean fast food giant Lotteria Vietnam and three food eateries of its because Lotteria has breached food safety regulations.

As per the decision, Lotteria Vietnam at the seventh floor in Paragon Building in district 7 and three food eateries of its at Thu Duc district and district 9 were fined totally VND146 million for series of violation including selling unsafe food leading to poisoning, unhygienic food processing section, having no certification of safe food; and not enough proper equipment for food preservation.

Another food caterer Tam Tam at 625/4A in the National highway No. in Thu Duc District was fined VND48 million (US$2,153) for violations such as not take employees for regular medical check-up, no methods to preserve food during production process, clogged sewers in kitchen and no sample food kept for tests.
