HCMC & Slovakia strengthen multi-faceted cooperation

The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong yesterday welcomed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Slovak Republic Mr. Robert Kalinak.

At the meeting, the two sides expressed pleasure at development of Vietnam- Slovakia multi-faceted cooperation relations in general and Ho Chi Minh City- Slovakia in particular in previous time via mutual high- ranking visits.

In November, 2016, HCMC and Kosice city co- signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) about an establishment of friendship cooperative ties, focusing on economy, travel, science & technology cooperation. 

The city also desired to strengthen further cooperation in sectors of chemical industry, electrical equipment, travel and food industry.

Mr. Robert Kalinak highly appreciated business and investment environment in Vietnam as well as in Ho Chi Minh City . He believed that Vietnam would continue being an attractive destination of foreign investors, including Slovakia’s firms.

The Slovakia leader affirmed that the upcoming investment projects in the city will be a foundation for the two nations’ good cooperation relation.
