Gold price drops after God of Wealth Day

After strongly increasing to exceed VND37.5 million a tael on God of Wealth Day, the tenth day of the first lunar month every year falling on February 26 this year, SJC gold price has dropped by nearly VND500 a tael.

In HCMC, Saigon Jewellery Company (SJC) posted buying and selling prices at VND36.8 million and VND36.95 million at 4:30 p.m., down VND120,000 a tael.
At the same time, in Hanoi, Doji Group reduced SJC gold price by VND450,000 a tael to buy at VND36.78 million and sell at VND37.18 million.
Businesses have also cut jewelry price by VND400,000 to VND37.1 million a tael.
