Fruit Expo to boost Vietnamese fruit varieties

‘Viet Fruit Expo 2011’ will be held in My Tho City in Tien Giang Province from Nov 29 to Dec 4, aimed at promoting various Vietnamese fruit varieties in the domestic market as well as for exports globally.

‘Viet Fruit Expo 2011’ will be held in My Tho City in Tien Giang Province from Nov 29 to Dec 4, aimed at promoting various Vietnamese fruit varieties in the domestic market as well as for exports globally.

Various activities during the Expo will include a fruit exhibition of fruits from the Mekong Delta provinces. 100 stalls will exhibit fruits, agricultural produce; 200 stalls will hold a seed festival and 200 stalls will relate to Vietnamese cuisines and also a seminar will be held on Vietnamese fruits and the vegetable sector.

Viet Fruit Expo 2011 will be an opportunity for local farmers to display and introduce their fruits to buyers, both domestic and international. Farmers will avail of this platform to promote their varieties of special fruits, vegetables, bonsais, pets, aquatic plants, ornamental flowers as well as indigenous farming equipment.
