The Vietnamese Vice President thanked for Professor Odon Vallet’s sentiment to Vietnam, especially to Vietnamese pupils and students.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thinh highly appreciated Vallet scholarships’ contribution in creating excitements and encouragements of learning of Vietnamese pupils and students.
In order to honor and express the gratefulness to the contributions of Professor Odon Vallet, the State decided to offer the Professor with the Friendship Order which is the most notable medal of Vietnam to foreigners with their great contributions for the friendships spirit.
Professor Odon Vallet stressed that he would continue collaborating with Vietnam in offering meaningful scholarships in fields of science-technology, mathematics, chemistry, biology ... to Vietnamese pupils, students and the minorities ethics in the remote areas, border areas and islands ….
French Professor Odon Vallet has also contributed expenses to repair, upgrade SOS children’s villages in the provinces of Lam Dong, Thua Thien – Hue, Quang Binh and Nghe An since 1990 via AEVN association (Aide a l’Enfance du Vietnam) in France.
Besides, Professor Odon Vallet established “Vallet Scholarship Fund” for pupils and students in France, Vietnam and Germany. Up to now, the fund has offered nearly 30,000 scholarships to pupils and students of almost every province and city in Vietnam worth VND 150 billion.
