Forty booths of 50 businesses, cooperatives, and family businesses in Dong Thap Province were set up to introduce consumers the province’s typical agricultural products and foodstuffs that meet safety standards, and products with high export potential.
The products are divided into three groups. Fresh agricultural products include mango, longan, orange, tangerine, lotus, plum and lemon. Regarding processed products, rice-based products, products made from fruits and vegetables (dried fruits, lotus and custard apple, and candied fruits) and fish oil are displayed at the event.
Moreover, there are handicraft products such as dried lotus flowers, confetti, essential oil, shawls, handicraft boats.
Last but not least, there are some activities including a meeting between the province’s producers, cooperatives and households businesses and Big C’s purchasing department; training on conditions and standards of displaying commodities in Big C supermarket system; and co-operation agreements between Big C and provincial producers, co-operatives and farmer households.
In addition to Big C An Lac, Dong Thap’s speciality products will be displayed at 37 Big C chains and Go! supermarkets countrywide until November 12.
