CG conference to discuss sustainable development

The Consultative Group (CG) Meeting 2010 will be hosted in Hanoi on December 7 and 8 with the main theme “Macro-economic stabilization and sustainable development.”

The Consultative Group (CG) Meeting 2010 will be hosted in Hanoi on December 7 and 8 with the main theme “Macro-economic stabilization and sustainable development.”

The Ministry of Planning and Investment said the conference will take priority to debate strategies for sustainable development and government’s financial policies for programs on coping with climate change.

Additionally, the meeting will also confer social welfare, poverty reduction and of Vietnam's policies to its partners when it joins the group of medium-income countries.

Delegates at the conference are also expected to discuss implementation of macro economic policies in 2010 and visions for 2011 and effectiveness of the State economic sector, anticorruption and of social sponsorship.

During the conference, the Vietnam Business Forum will be organized by the ministry to discuss the building of an advantageous business environment, aiming to attract foreign investment and boost the country’s economic growth.

On the sideline of CG conference, Singaporean and Malaysian representatives would exchange average-income experiences and national competitive ability.
