The Ho Chi Minh City police broke up a call girl ring on Tuesday when four sex workers were caught in the act following a police raid on a hotel in District 1.

The women were part of a ring serving businessmen, overseas Vietnamese and rich people at locations across the country with a price of US$100 to 200 per girl, or US$300 to 500 if traveling to other provinces.

While most of the girls arrested in the raid work in bars, some are just students from the northern provinces.

Surprisingly, one of the prostitutes arrested in the raid was a “man” who had undergone a sex-change operation in Thailand.
