Movitel, which is a Viettel brand in Mozambique, has just been selected by the World Bank as a partner for a project on improving quality of life of poor rural people in Mozambique.
This project was divided into six small- scale projects in six regions with its value of US$ 35 million. Movitel will attend in three among the six projects worth US$20.5 million.
Since the beginning of July, Movitel has carried out a part of WB’s project in Nampula province of Mozambique with the total value of US$ 6.4 million.
After putting into operation, the project will provide money transfer and withdrawal services for 100,000 poor households in Nampula province with a total monthly transfer value of more than US$ 1 million being implemented within three years.
