Vietnamese health authorities have tested six more beverage drink varieties in Vietnam but failed to find any trace of the DEHP chemical substance in any of them.

The Food Hygiene and Safety Department of the Ministry of Health continued to test beverage drink samples in markets in Hanoi and the northern province of Hung Yen on June 8. Drinks like orange juice Twister and orange, strawberry flavored Mirinda, by Pepsi Company, made in the northern province of Hung Yen and the central province of Da Nang and samples of lemon, apple-flavored Thai Nguyen fresh tea made by Confectionery and Drinks Manufacturing URC Company, tested free of DEHP.

The Department also collected samples in Ho Chi Minh City of ‘made-in–Taiwan’ food items, energy drinks, tapioca pearls and nutritious food powder for testing.

The department ordered all dubious products to be tested by relevant agencies for DEHP content and order the companies to stop selling the products in the market until the department had released the test results.
