Vietnam-US export import now accounts for 12.3 percent of the country’s total turnover.
In April, the two sides’ turnover reached $4.57 billion. Of these, Vietnam’s export to the US topped $3.8 billion, up 13.9 percent over the previous month. Vietnam’s import from the US hit $767 million, down 2.6 percent against the previous month.
Vietnam-US goods trade balance saw a surplus of nearly $3 billion in April, taking the two sides’ four month goods trade balance to $9.4 billion in the first four months this year, accounting for 75 percent of total export import turnover.
