As per the government’s decree No. 53 for the age of retirement, some state employees will get retirement at older age compared to the Labor Law.
Since July 15, 2015, deputy heads of a committee in the Party; deputy chiefs in the southwestern, northwest and highlands regions; deputy heads of office of the National Assembly, vice chairwoman of the National Assembly's Council of Nationalities; deputy chiefs of committees of the National Assembly, deputy chairwomen of Central Committees of Viet Nam Fatherland Front; deputy heads of the central social-political organizations; deputy director of Ho Chi Minh National Politic Institute; deputy-Editors-in-chief of Nhan Dan (People) newspapers and Tap Chi Cong San ( Communist) Magazine; director of the Chinh tri Quoc Gia- Su That ( National Politic-Truth) Publishing House; military generals; deputy party secretary in cities and provinces; chairpersons and deputy chairperson of people’s councils; chairpersons and deputy chairpersons of people’s committees in cities and provinces; deputy chairwomen of People’s Committees of HCMC and Hanoi; judges and prosecutors of people's supreme procuracy will have older age of retirement.
However, these female employees must have good health and not receive letters of warning or be prosecuted or be disciplined.
However, they are not older than 60 years old when getting retirement. Only judges and prosecutors of people's supreme procuracy can get retirement decision at 65 for male and 60 for female. When a person want to get retirement as per the Labor Law, they will be approved.
